Great for the job it is intended for
What a gem this is, creates high quality digital images of old photos, negatives. Really enjoyed, it could be further enhanced with more negative holding sizes for older negatives.

Over exposes print scans
Although the negative scanning option exposes reasonably well, the same cannot be said for scanning prints. It over exposes each and every time with no ability to control exposure or contrast settings. Tried scanning in the 2 resolutions available but neither are any good and the low resolution option is the worst. The clear plastic platen on which the photos to be scanned are placed was also marked or scratched which and could not be cleaned.Definitely not worth purchasing if you want reasonable quality scans.Very disappointing

It even scans slides!
I was interested in this scanner as it scans both pictures and negatives, but I was concerned about comments that it can’t scan slides,I decided to take the plunge and buy it anyway, I am so glad I did. It’s a great scanner that enabled me to scan 2000 negatives with ease and brought back to life photographs which had long been destroyed. After some trial and error, I scanned 200 of the thick plastic slides. The trick is to ensure that the slides are seated at the top (towards the hinge) of the slide holder, then they feed through fine.As for the comment that the scanner scans back to front, those of you who have worked with negatives will realise that that’s just silly. 🙄All in all, a great scanner that’s well worth the money.

Resurrect your old slides
To copy on to SD card provided is easy. Haven't yet transferred to PC to make prints.

Arrived damaged
The LCD Screen has a crack in it, the scanning plate is scratched, and the side of the product has some kind of sticky patch on it!I’ll re-order another, as it’s easy to use, but disappointed it arrived in such poor condition.

Scratched scanning plate
Unfortunately the scanning plate arrived scratched and I am having to return it. I was going to order another straight away but the price is now £30 dearer so will wait for the price to come down. It did seem relatively easy to use although a bit fiddly to place the negatives in the negative holder.

Poor Quality Product
The scanner is very poor quality. It is rather 'plastic' in construction and the design of the scan area very poor. The method of securing the print in place, a series of L shaped pieces of plastic was poorly designed resulting in the plastic piece and the print moving about. When you finally managed to complete a scan, the quality was not great.Although the instructions showed it should have a cable to connect it to the power, there was no such cable. You also need to purchase an SD card. All in all a poor product.
